After thinking about the concept of having a minimalist capsule wardrobe, I started to think about what is most important. What are the key inputs when deciding which item we should buy? Here are three questions that stuck out to me:

1. Quantity: Can I wear the piece for seven days (the whole week, including work)?
2. Flexibility: Can I pair it with pieces in my existing wardrobe?
3. Adaptability: Can I wear the piece to different occasions (work, dinner, brunch, etc.)?

An element to consider is that sometimes, pieces may be more expensive; in return, their quality will help increase their longevity. Find a healthy balance as well as what works for your lifestyle. Sometimes, when you pay for the piece multiple times, it can possibly cost you more in the long term. For instance, you could pay $50 for a piece and only wear it twice. If you wear that piece often, you could spend over $300 over time with lower-price replacements.
